Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
This policy adds to our Privacy Policy. It applies to residents of Washington and Nevada, and of other US states with similar laws, and explains how Odette handles consumer health data.
What you tell Odette about your body, your practice history and anything read from Apple Health stay on your iPhone. They are not sent to us or to the companies that work for us. We do not sell consumer health data.
What counts as consumer health data
These laws use the term for personal information that is linked, or could reasonably be linked, to you and that identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health. They define it broadly. It can include information about a health condition, about pregnancy and reproductive health, about bodily functions, and about fitness and wellness.
What we collect, and from where
Kept on your iPhone only
Odette uses the following on your device. It is not sent to us or to any provider, so we do not hold it:
- answers you give about your body: your season of life (such as pregnancy, the months after a birth, or menopause) and its stage, what you asked us to be gentle with, any goal that describes a complaint or a season of life, and whether something hurts when you practice;
- how your body feels in your daily check-in;
- your practice history: the classes you did, how long they were, how they felt, your notes and the moves you told us hurt;
- if you turn Apple Health on, the Pilates workouts Odette reads from it and writes to it.
Its sources are you, through your answers in the app, and, with your permission, Apple Health on your device.
Held by our subscription provider
We do not consider the following to describe your health. Because these laws are broad, we list here the parts of it that concern fitness. It is kept with our subscription provider under a random identifier, not under your name or email address:
- the fact that you subscribe to a Pilates app, and your purchases in it;
- general goals, if you chose them: to feel strong, to stand taller, to move with more ease, or to build a practice that lasts;
- how much Pilates you have done, how many minutes and days a week you plan to practice and at what time of day, the equipment you have, and what gets in the way of practicing, other than pain.
Its source is you, through your answers in the app and your purchases. The same record holds the other setup answers listed in our Privacy Policy (your gender and age range, where you heard about us, and whether reminders are on).
Why we use it
- To provide the app you asked for. The information on your phone chooses your class each day, adapts moves to what you told us, keeps your journal and, if you asked, records your practices in Apple Health.
- To run your subscription. Our subscription provider tells the app whether your subscription is active.
- To understand our audience. We look at the general answers listed above across everyone who uses Odette, to learn who it serves and how they found it.
We do not use consumer health data for advertising, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those above without first asking for your consent.
Who it is shared with
We do not sell consumer health data.
We do not share it with third parties for their own use. The information described under “Held by our subscription provider” is processed for us by RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions and may use it only to provide that service to us. We have no affiliates that receive it.
We may disclose information where the law, a court or a competent authority requires it, and to a successor if Odette is ever sold or merged, as our Privacy Policy describes.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- confirm whether we are collecting, sharing or selling your consumer health data, and access it;
- receive a list of the third parties and affiliates it has been shared with or sold to;
- withdraw your consent to its collection and sharing;
- have it deleted.
What is on your phone is in your hands. You can change your answers in Odette’s Settings and turn Apple Health off there. Deleting the app removes what it stored on your phone. Workouts it saved to Apple Health stay in the Health app until you remove them there.
For anything we or our provider hold, write to support@odettepilates.com. Odette has no accounts, so to find your record we need the order number from an App Store receipt for Odette. We will answer within 45 days. We do not charge for a request and you will not be treated differently for making one.
If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer or by writing to the same address with “Appeal” in the subject. We will review it and reply in writing within 45 days, explaining our decision. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state’s Attorney General. In Washington: atg.wa.gov/file-complaint. In Nevada: ag.nv.gov.
Changes
When we change this policy we will update this page and the date at its top. We will not collect, use or share consumer health data in a new way without updating this policy and, where the law requires it, asking for your consent first.
