Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
Odette has no accounts and no sign-in, and it does not ask for your name or your email address. Your practice history and your answers about your body stay on your iPhone. A small amount of information leaves it so the app can work: Apple and our subscription provider handle your subscription, a few general setup answers are kept with that provider under a random identifier, and exercise videos are downloaded from our video partner. There are no ads in Odette. We do not sell your information and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Who we are
Odette is made and operated by Yuval Fishbine (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the information described in this policy. Under European and Israeli privacy law that makes us its “controller”. For any privacy question or request, write to support@odettepilates.com.
This policy covers the Odette app for iPhone (“Odette Pilates: Home Workout” on the App Store) and this website.
What stays on your iPhone
Most of what Odette knows about you is stored only in the app on your device. It is not sent to us or to the companies that work for us:
- Your practice history. The classes you finished or logged, when, for how long, how each one felt, any note you wrote, and the seals you earned. (If you turn on Apple Health, your practices are also saved there, as described below.)
- Your daily check-in. How your body feels today and how many minutes you have.
- Your answers about your body. Your season of life (such as pregnancy, the months after a birth, or menopause) and the stage you chose, what you asked us to be gentle with, any goal that describes a complaint or a season of life, whether something hurts when you practice, and the moves you told us hurt.
- The details of your plan and your settings. Which days of the week you practice, the exact time of your reminder, your voice, music and pace settings, the classes you built, and the playlist you chose. (A general version of your plan is among the setup answers described below.)
- Exercise demonstrations saved on the phone so a class can play without a connection.
Because this information lives only on your device, we cannot see it, send you a copy of it or restore it. If you back up your iPhone, to iCloud or to a computer, it is part of your own backup (except the saved demonstrations), which Apple handles under its agreement with you. Deleting the app removes it from the phone.
Odette also reads the movement of your phone to turn the light on a seal while you are looking at it. That is used in the moment and is not recorded.
What leaves your iPhone
Your subscription
Odette is sold as a subscription through Apple’s App Store. Apple takes the payment. We do not receive your card or bank details, your Apple Account, your name or your email address.
To know whether your subscription is active we use RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives:
- a random identifier created for your copy of the app;
- your purchases in Odette: the plan, the dates, whether you are in a trial and whether the subscription will renew, the price and currency, your App Store country, and the identifiers Apple attaches to a transaction;
- details Apple supplies with your purchase record, such as when you first downloaded Odette and in which version;
- technical details that travel with each request: the identifier Apple gives our app on your device (the “identifier for vendors”, which is not the advertising identifier), your device model, iOS version, app version, language settings and IP address;
- the status of the tracking permission for Odette on your device. Odette does not ask for that permission, so it is not reported as allowed;
- the fact that a subscription screen was shown to you, and when.
A few setup answers
When you set Odette up, some of your answers are also kept with RevenueCat under that same random identifier, so that we can understand, across everyone, who uses Odette and how they found it. They are:
- your gender, unless you choose not to say, and your age range;
- where you heard about us, and how much Pilates you have done;
- general goals, if you chose them: to feel strong, to stand taller, to move with more ease, or to build a practice that lasts;
- what gets in the way of practicing, other than pain;
- how many minutes and how many days a week you plan to practice, the time of day you prefer, the equipment you have, and whether reminders are on.
These are your answers as you gave them during setup. We do not use them to advertise to you, we do not pass them to advertising platforms, and we do not sell them. The answers about your body described above are not among them. If the only goals you chose were ones that describe a complaint or a season of life, the record simply holds no goals.
These records are tied to a random identifier, not to a name or an email address, so we generally cannot tell which record belongs to which person.
Exercise demonstrations
The videos that demonstrate each move are licensed from YMove and are delivered over the internet. Each time you open Odette, and whenever it needs clips, the app contacts a small server that we run on Cloudflare. It sends a random identifier for your copy of the app and, when it needs clips, the list of clips. Like any server, ours also sees your IP address and the time of the request. We use the identifier and the IP address to prevent abuse of the service: they are held in counters for about two days, and the server’s logs, which include the identifier and the usual details of a request, are kept for a few days.
The videos themselves are then downloaded directly from the video servers YMove uses, which, like any web server, see your IP address when your phone asks for a file.
Apple Health, if you turn it on
Apple Health is off unless you turn it on, in setup or in Settings. If you do, Odette asks for access to workouts only, and then:
- it saves each practice you finish to Apple Health as a Pilates workout, with its start and end time;
- it reads Pilates workouts recorded by your Apple Watch or by other apps, so that they count toward your week. Their date and length become part of your practice history on your phone.
We do not receive information from Apple Health on any server, and we do not keep it in any storage of ours. We do not use it for advertising or marketing, and we do not disclose it to third parties. You can turn Apple Health off in Odette’s Settings, or change what Odette may read and write in your iPhone’s Settings, under Privacy & Security and then Health, at any time. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you remove them in the Health app.
Apple Music, if you use it
If you choose to practice to your own music, Odette asks for permission to use Apple Music. Apple provides your playlists to the app on your device and plays the music. We keep only the playlist you picked, on your phone.
Sharing a card
When you share a card (a seal, your month or a practice), Odette makes an image and hands it to the place you choose: your Photos library, Instagram, or another app through the iOS share sheet. Odette can add images to Photos but cannot read your photos. Choosing Copy places the image on your clipboard. To share to an Instagram story, the image is placed on your clipboard for a few minutes. Either way it replaces what you had copied. What happens to the card after that is up to the app you sent it to.
Reminders
Practice reminders, and the reminder before a trial ends, are scheduled on your phone by iOS. They do not pass through our servers and we do not send push notifications.
When you write to us
If you email us we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it to answer you and to keep a record of your request.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and its fonts are served from the site itself. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes the technical information any website needs in order to deliver a page (your IP address, your browser type, the page requested and the time) and keeps short-lived logs for security and reliability.
Health and sensitive information
Odette asks a few questions about your body because the answers change which moves and classes it offers you. Those answers, your practice history and anything read from Apple Health are kept on your phone, as described above. We do not use information about your health for advertising.
If you live in Washington, Nevada or another US state with a consumer health data law, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy also applies to you.
What we do not do
As of the date of this policy:
- Odette shows no ads and contains no advertising software.
- Odette does not use your device’s advertising identifier and does not ask for permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
- Odette contains no separate analytics or crash-reporting software. What we learn about how Odette is used comes from our subscription provider, as described above, and from the summary statistics Apple gives every developer about people who have chosen to share them.
- There are no accounts, so we hold no password, name or email address for you.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If any of this changes, this policy will change before it does.
Why we use information
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the law asks us to say which legal ground each use rests on:
- To provide what you subscribed to (performance of a contract): checking your subscription with Apple and RevenueCat, and delivering the exercise demonstrations.
- Our legitimate interests: understanding, across everyone, who uses Odette and how they found it; keeping our services secure and preventing abuse; and answering your messages. You may object to this at any time by writing to us.
- Your permission: Apple Health, Apple Music, saving to Photos and notifications are each used only after you allow them in an iOS prompt, and you can withdraw each one in your iPhone’s Settings.
- Legal obligations: keeping records of transactions where tax and accounting law requires it.
You are not required by law to give us any information. If you decline a permission, the feature that depends on it is simply unavailable.
Who handles information for us
We use a small number of companies to run Odette. Each handles the information described above only to provide its service, under its agreement with us and its own privacy policy, and we work only with providers that commit to protecting it to a standard at least equal to the one this policy describes:
- Apple: App Store purchases, and Apple Health and Apple Music on your device. Privacy policy
- RevenueCat: subscription management. Privacy policy
- Cloudflare: runs our media server. Privacy policy
- YMove: licenses and delivers the exercise demonstrations. Privacy policy
- Vercel: hosts this website. Privacy policy
We may also disclose information:
- when the law, a court or a competent authority requires it;
- to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, ourselves or others;
- to a successor, if Odette is ever sold or merged, who would be bound by this policy.
International transfers
We are based in Israel and our providers operate in the United States and other countries, so information is processed outside the country where you live. Israel is recognised by the European Commission and by the United Kingdom as providing an adequate level of protection. Where information from Europe or the United Kingdom goes to a provider in a country without such a decision, the transfer relies on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or on the provider’s certification under the Data Privacy Framework where it holds one.
How long it is kept
- On your phone: until you delete the app. You can change your answers in Settings at any time.
- Subscription records and setup answers at RevenueCat: for as long as we operate Odette and need them for the purposes above, including tax, accounting and handling disputes, or until you ask us to delete yours.
- Media server: the counters for about two days; server logs for a few days.
- Emails: until your request is resolved, and for as long afterwards as we may need a record of it, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices and rights
Some things are in your hands at any time:
- Deleting the app removes what it stored on your phone. Workouts it saved to Apple Health stay in the Health app, and cards you saved stay in Photos, until you remove them there.
- Your iPhone’s Settings control each permission: Health, Apple Music, Photos and notifications.
- Your subscription is managed, and cancelled, in your Apple Account’s subscription settings.
Depending on where you live, the law also gives you rights over personal information that we or our providers hold. These include the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, Israel’s Protection of Privacy Law and privacy laws in several US states. They may include the right to know what is held and to receive a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to take it elsewhere, and to withdraw a permission you gave.
To use any of these rights, write to support@odettepilates.com. Because Odette has no accounts, we cannot look you up by name or email address. To find the record our subscription provider holds, we need the order number from an App Store receipt for Odette (it is in Apple’s receipt email and in your purchase history). If you have never made a purchase, we have no way to connect a record to you; such a record holds only what is listed above, under a random identifier.
We answer within the time the law allows, usually within 30 days. We do not charge for a request and you will not be treated differently for making one. If we decline a request we will say why, and you can ask us to look at it again by replying to that message.
You also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator: the data protection authority where you live, the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom, or the Privacy Protection Authority in Israel. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
United States privacy rights
In the past twelve months we have collected the following kinds of personal information, from you and from your device, for the purposes described in this policy: identifiers (a random identifier, a device identifier, an IP address); commercial information (your purchases in Odette); general characteristics you chose to give (gender and age range); app activity (a subscription screen shown, clips requested); and the other setup answers listed above. They are disclosed only to the providers named above.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past twelve months. We do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose that the law lets you limit. If you are a California resident you may ask to know, correct or delete your personal information as described above, yourself or through an authorised agent, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Neither Odette nor this website tracks you across other companies’ apps or websites, so neither changes its behaviour in response to a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal: there is nothing for the signal to switch off.
Residents of Washington, Nevada and states with similar laws: see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Children
Odette is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used Odette, write to us and we will delete what we can identify.
Security
Information sent from the app travels over encrypted connections. Information on your phone is protected by iOS and by your passcode. What our providers receive is limited to what this policy describes. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot promise that ours is.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update this page and the date at its top. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on this page before it takes effect.
